TrivandrumLife>> Body of two of the four youth who went missing in the sea off the Azhimala coast were found on Friday. Johnson, Manu Napolean, Santhosh Varghese and Sabu George are the youths who went missing in the sea on Saturday. Bodies of were found by the search team at the sea near Kovalam. Search is on for the missing two.
Vizhinjam police said that bodies of Manu, 23, and Johnson, 24, were found near Kovalam hours after they went missing.
A ten-member gang of friends, all hailing from Pulluvila, reportedly arrived at the beach by evening for a send-off party of Johnson, who was planning to go to UK for higher studies.
As per reports, six youths stepped into the sea to take a dip. Except two – Naveen and Nicholson – the other four went missing. Naveen and Nicholson managed to return to safety.
Azhimala, which is famous for Shiva temple, is a dangerous spot and is restricted for tourists. Early this year in March, three young women had went missing and drowned in sea from Adimalathura beach. Last year, a school boy too had drowned in sea here during a leisure trip.
